FAQs
Where are the flowers from/Did you grow them?
The flowers are direct from the farm. Yes, we grew them! We have two growing fields that we’ve lovingly nicknamed Sally Field and Noel Fielding. We start 90% of the flowers from seed ourselves (Some of the trickier flowers we source as plugs (Lisianthus, Bells of Ireland, Campanula). The seedlings grow in our basement before being transplanted out to the field. We don’t have a greenhouse or a high tunnel, we overwinter our flowers in low caterpillar tunnels to make sure we can bring you the earliest possible spring blooms— this sometimes means running out to blow snow off the tunnels if we get a freak storm.
For Mother’s Day, we source Peonies from other local flower farms as ours aren’t producing just yet and we know how much we all love them. Fall of 2025 we will plant out our own large peony field and be able to offer them to you direct from our own field!
Where is the farm?
Just off of Old 75 on James Royster Road. Get directions to the farmstand here.
Do you have a U-Pick?
We do not currently have a U-Pick offering. Our rows are set up to maximize production and thus, have narrow walkways, and harvesting is a bit of a task. To ensure the health of the flowers, our ability to bring you the best blooms at market, and your safety, we can’t let you into the production areas.
We have plans to offer U-Pick options in later seasons in the upper part of our field. Stay tuned…..
Can we take photos at the farm/among the flowers?
We have two dedicated spaces at the top of our property for strolling among the flowers and taking photos: our Wildflower Meadow and our Sunflower Fields. We ask that you don’t pick/cut the flowers in the meadows so that others can enjoy the flowers as well. The production areas are not available for photos, for safety purposes.
Do you do weddings/events?
We both work full time jobs, the farm and the flowers are the overgrown “hobby”. So, we simply don’t have the time to dedicate to weddings in the way that most special of days deserves and create large installations, arrangements, ect.
We do offer DIY Buckets of Blooms so that you can create your own bouquets, centerpieces, etc. They are a fantastic option to have locally grown flowers and create something beautiful in a fun, unique way.
